May we introduce you to Rafael Pedroso Albuquerque:
I’m originally from Rio de Janeiro.
After living there for 9 years, I moved to the Netherlands and enrolled in primary school.
After that, I finished HAVO, followed by studying Computer Science at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, with a focus on embedded systems and industrial automation.
In my graduation internship, I researched the performance of all kinds of PIR and radar-based motion detectors for applications within building automation.
I then worked for the same company for more than 8 years as an embedded software engineer.
In that role I designed, made and tested software for actuators, sensors and gateways for applications such as (automated) lighting, blinds and climate control.
After 8 years I was ready for a new challenge, especially wanted to work with more chipsets, different sensors and be exposed to more applications.
I have been working at Betronic as a senior embedded software engineer since April 1st.
My wish immediately came true: I immediately became involved in projects with new SoCs, new protocols and new applications.
Outside of work, I like to spend time with my girlfriend and son, and I also do powerlifting and motorcycling.
