To choose the right display for the application, we look at all aspects of the product.\n\nResolution<\/strong>\nThe resolution of a graphic display affects how much information can be shown. So together with our client, we first take a critical look at what information should be shown and in what way. Higher resolutions also affect the memory of the processor that will drive the display.\n\nDisplay technology<\/b>\nThere are a large number of display technologies, all with their own pros and cons. Besides the somewhat older TN(Twisted Nematic) LCD technology, there are modern technologies such as IPS (Inter Plane Switching) or OLED. With the latter two techniques, the wide viewing angle is a major advantage.\n\nDisplaying information does not always require a graphic display. A segment display can also do just fine, the one-time cost for a segment display of your own design is low and the cost is also a lot lower than a graphic display.\n\nSize<\/b>\nIn the desired product, there are often size limitations. These dimensions and how the display will be mounted is a factor that is considered during the selection of the display.\n\nControl\n<\/b>To provide the display with the correct information, it is equipped with an interface. Where previously parallel or SPI control was used, we see that with ever higher resolutions, the interface is also being modified. A MIPI interface is one way to quickly transfer data to the display to meet the desired refresh rate.\n\nSelection<\/b>\nBased on all needs and requirements, we propose one or more displays. For proper selection, we make sure a sample of the proposed display is available so there are no surprises afterwards.
